It's quite easy to get overwhelmed with shelves and walls filled with an abundance of items at Gadabout — vintage clothing, accessories, figures, papers, cards, and countless apothecary drawers filled with patches, pendants, office supplies, etc. On the second floor, discover stylish blazers, dresses, fur coats, shoes, and even some dinnerware.
Again, the abundance of elements can make it easy to lose focus, take your time to explore, and remember to inspect items carefully.
I didn't pay much attention to the prices, but I recall the poodle pendant being approximately $15 (photo number 6 - sorry, I didn't focus properly), and a blazer I liked was around $160. You can definitely find something within your budget.

The Rose
A large porcelain dog, possibly a German Shepherd - it could be a great addition to my collection.

The Thorn
What's good for me might not vibe with you - I recognize that some people might not enjoy the space filled with various items.

While the curation may not be perfect, those with a trained eye for spotting unique artifacts will definitely find some. Explore the first floor and basement filled with vintage treasures such as frames, lamps, dinnerware sets, film cameras, records, and other decorative pieces.
Vintage hunting can be hit or miss, so visit this place if you have other plans nearby. If you're a fan of samosas, don't miss The Samosarie located next to Handwork (but that's a review for another time).

The Rose
Basement. You go downstairs using the back staircase, walk through the quiet area, check out everything, reconsider your decor preferences and question whether to buy something or not and eventually you go up using a different staircase. It's a cool little adventure.

The Thorn
Handmade gifts. Usually, I'm not a fan of handmade items.

What catches your attention when you enter is the size of the store and with it the amount of things to browse. Right at the entrance you will find some books and publications, some other decor items, and passing by the counter with the coffee machine you go up some steps and find the clothing pieces ready to be investigated.
They've got a good selection, especially if you're into military and workwear gear – they had some sailor pants and hats, along with some long japanese-style coats – I still find myself thinking about both, maybe I'll buy it next time (It probably won't be there when I get back).
In addition to the presence of the coffee machine, as the name suggests, at the back of the store you will also find a barber shop.
When it comes to pricing, they have a reasonable balance considering what they offer – both for the curated pieces and the overall vibe of the space. This was my initial visit, but I can already tell I'll be coming back to spend some leisurely mornings on weekends.

The Rose
Military and Workwear select.

The Thorn
Nothing! I just wish it were more convenient for me to get there (West End resident here).
